How You Can Help
It’s not too late to get involved! The Design team is actively seeking your ideas for developing the interior of each classroom and the building. You can contact them through email design@nscoc.org, or by submitting a card found on the bulletin board next to the office.
The Communications team is also looking for a website developer. If interested, send an email to office@nscoc.org, or contact Dexter Freeman.
Your monetary support is also needed. You can make a contribution online through the Payments option, or place a check in the Northside Together envelopes found in each pew.
“Gifts in Kind” Committee
Many people have inquired about the possibility of giving to the capital campaign from their appreciated assets. Appreciated assets are things like real estate, stocks/bonds, jewelry, automobiles, and collectibles. Anything of appreciating value can be donated to benefit our “Northside Together” campaign and help secure our future growth.
Donating appreciated assets provides benefits to donors as well, including some unusual tax advantages. Normally, selling or cashing in your assets would require you to pay taxes on the profits. However, giving those items to the church (which is non-taxable) means that you get a full deduction benefit, and the church gets the full amount of the assets!
If you have any appreciated assets you would like to donate, please contact the following Shepherds:
Alan Cooper: Real estate Bruce Gordon-Cumming: Stocks, bonds, other banking-related issues Gary Hoyack: Stocks, bonds, tax implications Joe Shaver: Jewelry, stocks, bonds
Keep watching this space for more information related to the design and development of our new facility!
